Lagos Governor, Akinwumi Ambode has called on the judiciary to ensure the quick dispensation of justice.
Ambode added that the move will help the government in its drive to attract foreign investment to the state.
The Governor also said the judiciary has a big role to play as the state seeks to become a major investment hub in West Africa.
Ambode
also said his administration has put measures in place to strengthen
the machineries of justice dispensation so members of the public and
investors can have confidence in the judiciary.
According to Punch, Ambode said “We believe that the key to thriving business is the primacy of the rule of law and quick dispensation of justice.
“Therefore,
officers and members in the temple of justice have a greater role to
play, especially with foreign direct investments coming into our state.”
Also, the Lagos State Governor appealed to Nigerians to be more patient, tolerant and more patriotic.
