British Nigerian designer Tokyo James will be representing Nigeria
at the World Fashion Week in Paris, France in 2017.
The designer is
known for creating unique menswear. World Fashion Week reached out
to the designer on February 3, 2017.
This was revealed in a letter
shared by lifestyle website Bella Naija.
Paco De James, Chairman of
the Board of Governors, World Fashion Week invited Tokyo James to
participate at the event which will be held in November at the
Louvre Museum, Tuileries Gardens.
The designer will be expected to
showcase his collection at the Nigerian Runway Show alongside other
selected designers.
Following a career as a fashion stylist in
London, Tokyo James started his menswear brand after he relocated
to Lagos.
The label is described on his website as a brand for the
modern men with a cutting-edge twist.

traditional techniques and clean lines the brand owes its core
competence to the designer’s philosophy - creating and living your
individuality”.
The designer showcased his new collection on
February 3, 2017 at the South Africa Menswear Week (SAMW) AW 17 in
Cape Town, South Africa.
