The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, April 25,granted bail to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu, who is facing charges of treason, has been in detention since October 2015.
Below are five things you should know about his bail:
- He was granted N100 million bail with three sureties.
- His passport won’t be returned to him.
- He will not be allowed to grant press interviews.
- He is banned from attending gatherings with more than ten people present.
- Kanu’s three co-accused, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi were denied bail.

Kanu's trial was attended by Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayoseand former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode.
