The Federal Road Safety Commission Corps has recalled the Rivers State Sector Commander and other officers concerned in the cutting of some female officers' hair, Punch reports.
Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi ordered their recall with immediate effect.
The
female officers were allegedly carrying long hair in the Rivers State
Sector Command, which is said to be against the dress code of the
Commission.
The Head Media Relations and Strategy of the Corps, Mr. Bisi Kazeem revealed this to the newspaper on Tuesday morning, April 11.
He said their recall was necessary to properly investigate the matter.
Some photos, showing the Rivers State Commander of the FRSC, Andrew A. Kumapayi using a pair scissors to cut off the hair of the female FRSC officers had gone viral on Monday evening.
It was learnt that the incident occurred during the early morning parade when Kumapayi went round to inspect his officers.
