A High Court in Rivers State has found three people for the death of four students  Ugonna Obuzor, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa, and Tekena Elkanah.

The four students of the University of Port-Harcourt were lynched by a mob in Aluu, a community in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state in 2012.

According to Africa Check, in 2014, Nigeria ranked 23rd among the world's largest champagne importers. The country imported 768, 131 bottles that year.

In terms of actual bottles sold, Nigeria ranked 22nd for 1.1 million bottles of champagne. Forget about the fake news in 2015 that Nigeria was the second largest consumer of champagne in the world. Minister says FG will stop oil production if cost remains high

Army apologises for false statement about NNPC workers' rescue

The Nigerian Army has apologised for the misinformation it released about the rescue of 10 members of the oil exploration team kidnapped by Boko Haram on July 25, 2017.

After an ambush by the terrorist group on the exploration team in the Magumeri area of Borno state, dozens were killed while 10 people were reportedly kidnapped.

The team was made up of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) workers and staff of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

The National Commission for Museum and Monuments (NCMM), says it is exploring ways to rebuild the Sukur world heritage site in Adamawa destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents in 2014.

The Director-General of the commission, Malam Yusuf Usman, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.

Usman said that efforts were also on to address conservation challenges at Osun-Osogbo Grove in Osun State.

Kidnappers reportedly kill 18 whistleblowers

Suspected kidnappers reportedly went on a killing spree at a village in Kaduna State because the residents gave security agencies information about them.

No fewer than 18 persons were killed in Rijana village, which is located along Kaduna-Abuja expressway, a leader in the community, Abdulsalam Abubakar, said.

Abubakar disclosed this when the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahaman Dambazau visited the community.

The community leader blamed security agencies for the spate of kidnapping in the area, accusing especially the police of leaking intelligence shared with them.
