Taylor Swift is in a
legal case where she is suing a radio DJ by name Mueller who she claims
reached under her skirt and grabbed her ass without consent.
The
defendant however denies the allegation and went ahead to sue Taylor in
2015 for attempting to mar his reputation, and also cost him his job at
the radio station KYGO where he worked.
Taylor's mom and the radio station promotions director Frank Bell were also sued by Mueller.
Taylor then filed a counterlawsuit still maintaining that Mueller grabbed her butt unduly.
"What Mr. Mueller did was very intentional," Swift said as she answered questions from Gabriel McFarland, an attorney for David Mueller, the former radio host.
"I am critical of your client for sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass," Swift said.
Swift's attorney Doug Baldridge argued that the incident did happen and that Mueller was suing for fame and money.
The incident was said to have occurred at a backstage meet-and-greet at Denver's Pepsi Center in June 2013.
The
photographer who took pictures at the meet and greet also testified in
court spoke in favour of Taylor Swift telling the court that she thought
Swift had made a funny move during the photo, at first believing she
had tripped. Stephanie Simbeck said she is sure Mueller grabbed Swift's rear end but couldn't tell whether his hand went under her skirt.
The final verdict of the incident will be decided by a jury of six women and two women.
Taylor
has said if she gets compensated by money, she will donate it to a
charitable cause that fights sexual assaults against women.
