Drama series wins Best Yoruba Sitcom award

Olanrewaju Olakanlu and Dunni Badru played the characters of "Mr and Mrs Kogberegbe".

Yoruba television drama series, "Mr and Mrs Kogberegbe" has won the Best Yoruba Sitcom at the Oodua Image Awards.

The event which was organized by the Yoruba Youth Corporation, North America was held in October 2016.

"Mr and Mrs Kogberegbe" is aired weekly on Africa Magic Yoruba.

Olanrewaju Olakanlu, the lead actor and producer of the series and Dunni Badru, also known as Mrs. Kogberegbe received the award in Houston, Texas.
Giving an acceptance speech, Olakunle said, “This award is a confirmation of the general acceptance of our show and a reward for our hard work.
"It’s not easy to produce a content that is acceptable by the South-West viewers and Nigerians in Diaspora."
Mr and Mrs Kogberegbe is an interesting drama that focuses on the life of a couple who often engage in frequent arguments.

 Most of the subjects addressed on the programme are issues related to the marriage between young people.
It is aired weekly on DSTV's Africa Magic Yoruba.
