The Governor of Akwa-Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel has asked the opposition parties to sheath their swords and work for the development of the state.
According
to Punch, the Governor said this on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, while
celebrating the second year anniversary of his administration.
Emmanuel also said the false reports that are being spread by the opposition against him will not help the state grow.
According to him, “Instead
of being professionals in the profitless business of pulling others
down, let us all be experts in the lucrative business of forgiveness.

“This
is not the time for anger, resentment, bitterness and the desire for
recrimination against the people. These can only deaden our spirit and
lead to self-inflicted wounds.”
Governor Udom Emmanuel also described the negative reports about him as a clog in the wheel of progress.
