The governor, in a  statement  by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Mr  Yomi Layinka, said  Tinubu’s support for him was a motivating factor for the successes recorded by his administration in the last six years.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tinubu, a former senator and Lagos State governor,  clocked 65 on Wednesday, March 29.

The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), has described members of the Nigerian Senate as the most unserious in the country's history

Sagay said this in an interview with Punch Newspaper when speaking on the senate’s decision to withhold INEC RECs confirmation after submission by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sagay also said that the Senate was filled with people of questionable character, who put their personal interest ahead of that of the nation.

Senator Dino Melaye, on Tuesday, March 28, appeared at the Senate in an academic gown.
Melaye was, on Monday, March 27, cleared by the Senate ethics committee following allegations that he did not graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

The Vice Chancellor of ABU, Ibrahim Garba also appeared before the committee to confirm that Melaye graduated from the Institution with a 3rd class.

The senator had also been accused of bribing the Head of the Geography Department to issue him a transcript.

The allegations were made by online publication, Sahara Reporters which Melaye has filed a suit against.
